I've had this tranny a few years and it needs a new home. Before I list it for sale I need some help in determining its value. Afterwards I plan to post it for sale in the appropriate forum. Thanks for any help or response in advance.

It is a warranty trans, either m-20 or 21. I would say $750ish.

Hi Howard,
It is indeed an over the counter transmission denoted by the CT9 stamping which translates to a 69 model year assembled unit. If the gearset is original to it 3950316 is an M21 close ratio and it was assembled on Sept 6, 1968 which also explains the lack of the model i.d. letter that shows up later on 69 muncies. If the gearset internally is in good usable condition, $750 is in the ballpark.

Re: What's it worth

If it helps, I just sold an M-21 Muncie about 5 months ago for $900. It had been gone through, new seals, etc. but gears, etc. were all original. I listed it on Craigslist for $1,000. Had about 15 people contact me about it. First person that came and looked at it bought it.

Chis,

Isn't , C = Chevrolet , T = transmission, 9 = Model Year?

Where would the Model of Vehicle be designated?

Re: What's it worth

Stefano, I believe LS-6 was referring to the model of the transmission, I.e. M-20, M-21, M-22. Not the model of car with an A,B, or C suffix

I'm a little late in the game on this one. Muncies seem to sell for $400-$600 locally with m20s and m21s being valued about the same. Needless to say, m22s command a premium. They will sell for more if you are patient and willing to ship.

Re: What's it worth

That's exactly what I was refering to. Suffix coding of the gearset, not car model. Sorry for the confusion.<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: x77-69z28</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Stefano, I believe LS-6 was referring to the model of the transmission, I.e.
