1972 Lemans sport convert 400 4spd 1 of 56
 

I owned this car for over 9 years [5 was spent on a full blown frame off restoration] and now its time to let it go. Figured id try here before registering it for auction. Its a very rare lemans sport convertible with a factory 400 like the GTO had and a 4 speed trans. In 72 you could not get a true GTO convertible but if you were smart enough you could go in and first order a lemans sport then check off the T41 option which gave you the GTO endura bumper and hood and fenders then you had to order the 400 engine and 4 speed and a 355 safe-t-track rear. These cars are true insurance company beaters. Better yet this car was ordered in Sundance Orange with a Saddle bucket seat interior,pwr steering,disc brakes,console,Rally gauges and a Indash tachometer,Honeycomb wheels and a few others. Everything is PHS documented. It was sold new here in easton pa at Rankin pontiac. Original born with drivetrain. I went all out and powercoated the frame,wheelwells,all stainless lines,red oxide floors etc. Theres too much to list. These are pics before i changed the rear cover and stopped the leak and put back the brake cables. Car is done to the nines!! Also That is complete nos walker exhaust from the late 70's!!
