Re: Rochester FI Unit Info...
What IS that? Never saw anything like that before? Is it some aftermakert plenum deal, or GM?

Re: Rochester FI Unit Info...
----The closest I could come is that is some kind of Tech Center test unit that got away from the General. Jack Podell might have some input, and I believe he will be at MNACN!!! Wont everybody?......Bill S

Re: Rochester FI Unit Info...
KEN KAYSER may know. JIM LOCKWOOD is chasing the experts. We all got mail yesterday. I feel it is definitely a GM Experimental unit that ZAD (Zora Arkus Duntov and JOHN DOLSA tested many the 50's. Ken's book
“The “History of General Motors Ramjet Fuel Injection on the Chevrolet V-8 and its Corvette Racing Pedigree” was published in 2007 and was named the 2007 Corvette Book of the Year by the National Corvette Owners Association. The General Motors Fuel Injection history can not be told just by itself because the GM Fuel Injection timeline parallels that of the Chevrolet Corvette and the Chevrolet V-8. Ken was a engineer with GM Powertrain from 1968 thru 2008, but has also owned and restored many ROCHESTER FUEL INJECTION SYSTEMS and has access to many files that helped him write his book. His website is here for more info. http://www.kayserspecialty.com/About-Us/ |

Re: Rochester FI Unit Info...
Bill Rhodes in Concord NC may have info about it as well he restored the white with red gut big brake 57 fuelie back in the 70's and at the time had tons of FI units and parts. He raced Porsches and Ferrari's for a while and is collecting 32 and 40 Fords now. He is probably still an NCRS member.
