Sam, I did some research on this a while back. What I found and use in all my Muncies is Pennzoil Gearplus SAE 80W-90W GL4. The GL4 works best with the brass syncros.

I'm using CRC GL-4 as directed by the man who built the Muncie in my Chevelle.

Sta-lube stuff above is what is in mine. Works fine. I think I got it through Amazon.com, but I know NAPA stores carry it as well. My local store didn't have the qt size, so I just mail ordered.

Sam, if you do not drive them you can run water if you want. Only need gear lube if the car is not a lawn ornament.
