Old Street Warrior. 1968 Mercury Cyclone GT
1 Attachment(s)
I just picked this one up. This has been sitting since 1977. Original 1968 Mercury Cyclone GT fastback. S code 390 GT, 4 speed, 9" posi rear end. Someone added a 428 Cobra jet intake, Ansen slots, Mr. Gasket traction bars, thrush mufflers, hood scoop, and some 70's Cyclone graphics along the bottom. Used to be someone's street warrior, now only good for parts.

Man...sad to see them ending up this way.

I agree. A shame.
I just finished checking it out. It had bright yellow Super Stock wires and coil over skyjackers on the back along with some big shackles. I guess that's how they did it back then. |

I wonder how many times in those 36 years the owner said, "NOT FOR SALE....I'm gonna fix it up some day" |

Re: Old Street Warrior. 1968 Mercury Cyclone GT
Man.Those cars were everywhere back in the day.Cool car but if you wanted a guaranteed win then run a 390 Torrino.Usually a good running 351 could get by one of these cars.Still.Very cool.
