1969 Impala Custom Hugger Orange 427
I have no affiliation with this car....a friend of a friend.
If it is what it is....I would say with this color....it is indeed a rare car. __________________________________________________ _____________________________ Rare Custom 1969 Chevrolet Impala: Special-order factory version of one of the last and best of the full-size Super Sport (SS-427) muscle cars. You won’t find another one like this. It still needs someone who can take the time to restore it to 100%. We’ve started the job but it’s not quite Barrett-Jackson or Mecum Auction ready yet. Not a clone. VIN #: 164479C026099 – Engine Pad #: T0115LE 79C026099 8-cylinder, 2-door hardtop w/original paint (hugger orange); black interior All matching serial numbers – Vehicle inspection certificate 11/18/2009 (for vehicle identification number verification) – Copy of original registration from date of purchase License #: CL 373 (original ‘old blue’ Clark County, NV plate) * Engine: (LS1) 427 V8 400 bhp @ 5400 rpm, 460 lb-ft @ 3600 rpm * Automatic transmission, turbo 400 hydraulic * Z21 options package * Custom factory exterior paint * Factory bench seats, newly upholstered * Factory air conditioning (uninstalled) * Unique concave rear window * Rosewood steering wheel, original * Garaged for 7 years (2002-2009) * Needs full rubber weather-stripping * No body rust * Odometer broken at 80,000 miles * Power steering * New Sony radio (not stock) * New brakes and more… You can locate many other listings where the seller claims that their 1969 Chevrolet is a “Custom” Impala SS-427. Look more closely and you’ll almost always find that it fails the test. Do your research and then return for another visit. Seller holds clear title and is asking USD $18,500 cash (negotiable). FOB: Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying cost of shipment. This vehicle is in excellent condition and performs very well; daily driver. Seller`s email.... Re: 1969 Impala Custom Hugger Orange 427
I had a similar car I bought out of Oklahoma back in 1991. It too was a Custom Coupe 1969 badged SS-427 Impala with a numbers matching drivetrain, LE coded engine, TH-400 & 12 bolt 3:08 Posi, ect. The car was white with a blue vinyl top and blue cloth bench seats, & factory Climate Control A/C. It was too cheap to pass up ($3200.00 if I remember right) and I never saw a bench cloth seat Super Sport Impala before. I purchased it out of Hemmings, and sold it to a family out of Michigan that had 10 various 1969 full size cars, (wagons, coupes, converts) I never knew if it was a real SS-427 car from the factory and never took the time to look for a build sheet in it. I wonder where it is today?

Re: 1969 Impala Custom Hugger Orange 427
We looked at a Monaco Orange '69 Impala here within the last couple years, different car as I think it had hideaways but forget if it was an Impala Custom or not?
LE Suffix LS1 427's were factory rated at 335 Hp, not 400. Cool car and fair price, best of luck w/ the sale! ~ Pete |
