Yenko iron blocks
 

Some time in the next 60 days, I will have 2 tall deck iron blocks for sale. They are raw castings, never machined, made by the man who cast and machined most of the Yenko aluminum blocks .These blocks were made on the same molds as the Yenko blocks. A lot of these blocks were sold to people like Sonny Leonard , Pat Musi , etc at the time. This man had a foundry and machine shop, and the Yenko aluminum blocks were only one part of what he did. They have been in storage for a long time, so I will have them dipped and " derusted ". If nothing else they will make great coffee tables and conversation pieces ! What you are saying is a new one on me. As far as I know Yenko used GM cast blocks and converted his cars to 427's. Later on he convinced GM to install the 427's using the Copo order process.

Yes, many facts about the Yenko block program have never been revealed. That will change soon when my next Yenko book " The Yenko Era.... Continued "is published , hopefully in the next month or so, when I finish the editing ! Fortunately, I have records on the production and sales, who and when.

there is a later model around 1974 aluminum block or ebay right now.
