'70 Stage 1 GS 4speed rag
20 Attachment(s)
Restored by Kliener and winner of Gold at the GS Nats in 2000. Scored 390 out of 400 with a 5 point deduct for radial tires. One of 67 built and one of only a few with all the performance options. Stage 1, 4 speed, consolette, arm rest console, steering and brakes, G60x15 with chrome wheels, Rallye Ride Control, tinted windshield, gauge package, Rallye Steering Wheel and more. Everything works including the AM/FM radio. Car has the original window sticker, build sheet, Wayne Roberts report and judging sheet. NOM. This car is a great driver and has been frequently driven since winning at the Nats. Still shows well as a #2. The stick is rare but the GSX wheel and tire package is even rarer. Most of these have the 15s added. $199,000 Will trade up down or sideways for Pony cars or Vettes.

Re: '70 Stage 1 GS 4speed rag
Was this car ever in Connecticut back when it was new? In my teen years there was a local garage in East Haven, Connecticut that raced Stage 1s. They even had a 69 Camaro with a Stage 1 in it. There was a red and white Stage 1 ragtop that was there for tuning quite frequently. I wonder if this was the car? If I recall correctly a doctor owned it at the time.

The true essence of a Buick Stage1 4 speed is the knuckle dent in the dash from high revving speed shifts Which is present in this Buick!
Love it! Dan |
Re: '70 Stage 1 GS 4speed rag
I don't believe this car left Ohio until the last decade. It was sold new at Schott Buick Opel in Cincinnati and remained there for many years. There is another red/white stick in the registry but it was a California car.
