Value of 1970 Z/28 CTB suffix short block??

I would appreciate thoughts on how to value this short block (no intake, carb, exhaust manifolds, distributor, etc.) that is std. bore with all the proper dates, casting codes, etc. and internal components. I suppose my real question is how much of a premium should one expect to pay for this vintage original engine because of its rarity? All thoughts welcome, and thank you in advance.

CTB was used in all 4 speed '70 LT1 Corvettes, Z-28s, and Yenko Deuces. If your casting/build date lines up with the build date of a Deuce (05D/06A or so), that may bring a bit more of a premium.

No CTB in Corvette- they had different codes.

Thank you, but can anyone help me narrow this down...is this a $2000 engine or $10,000 engine? Thanks!

It is worth what ever someone will pay. Put it on ebay with a reserve that you are happy with and let it fly. They will tell you what it is worth.
Good luck

Is the shortblock usable as is? What's the bore? If it is not useable as is then it might as well be a block and core steel crank. I have a few CTB blocks. I posted a .030 over block here for $1200 and got no real replies.
