1969 Nova Yenko
Hi there,
New to this forum, but does anyone know if, or what the COPO number for '69 Nova Yenko was? Did any other dealer get the '69 COPO Nova? Does anyone know how many exist today? Pics would be great! Regards Magnus. |
Re: 1969 Nova Yenko
The '69 Yenko Nova was not a COPO, instead built in house.
I know of 9 1969 Yenko Novas. |
Re: 1969 Nova Yenko
Okay, thanks for clearing that one out.
Did the '69 Yenko Novas all have the L-72 427? Were they all orignal SS cars when they arrived at Yenko? Does anyone know why Yenko converted so few of them? (Just 37 am I right?) |
Re: 1969 Nova Yenko
Magnus, totally off topic but where in Iceland are you located? My mom, groa danielsdottir was from reklavic and akranus ( bad spelling) she had 6-7 sisters and 1 brother. Thanks. Jeff

Hi Jeff, I live in Reykjavik, which is the capital of Iceland and Akranes is about 30 min drive from it, sorry don't know your mother but I have relatives in Akranes, Iceland is quite small, population is only about 318.000 people. You can email me with more questions if you'd like. ([email protected]) Anyway, back on topic.. Just thought I'd share what I saw, this one is supposed to go on action at Dana Mecum's 25th Original Spring Classic Auction in May. http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_de...516&src=fb http://www.mecum.com/auctions/SC0512...2-126516_1.jpg Does anyone have any info/history, on this car? How much do you guys think it's gonna go for? |
Re: 1969 Nova Yenko
I am selling the other Rallye Green Yenko Nova for $550k
It is the most well know car, magazines, books and on the cover of Newhart's book American Muscle Supercars.. Its the V.V. Cooke car.. |
Re: 1969 Nova Yenko
Wow! $550k? I was thinking more in the range of $750k! IIRC, the V.V. Cooke (V/T) car was the better restored car of the two RG Novas. I think the non v/t car still has a full custom interior in it. Both have some neat stories and vintage photos circulating about them.
