Gas Cap. NOS ANTI SURGE VENTED
 

Very nice anti surge vented cap. Stant cap with the "S" stamped on the rivet.

Bought it on impulse thinking it would fit my 69 Camaro. It is too big. I believe it is correct for the full size cars from the 60's, but don't have a car to test fit. I just know it is too big for the Camaro.

Hope someone here has a use for it.

Is the filler neck diameter 1-1/2"..overall height 1-3/8" & overall outside diameter 2-17/32?

If so,that's a STANT G40A cap.
Fits:
Corvette 1953-63.
Corvair 1961-64
Chevrolet full size 1958-59

The one you want is a G46a or GM# 3843698 I will have some restored one's for sale on pee bait in a month or so, waiting on plating.

----Whatever compatability list said that this cap fit a 63 Corvette is dead wrong. Not a big deal but dont want anyone else getting the wrong cap. Possibly thru 62, but dont know that.....Bill S

I also think the applications listed for the replacement Stant caps are OK for fit and function but not necessarily the correct style as originally produced on all those models.
