Y block vs Windsor distributor interchange?

Will the same distributor fit in the Y block (292-312) and the Windsor (221, 260, 289)???

The Y block has a shorter deck than the Windsor. A 221-302 Dist body will fit in the Y Block but you will need a different gear.351 is a different animal. Not worth messing with imho. You can buy a dura spark for a Y block from Advance Auto Parts etc for about 70 bucks. What are you trying to do? If you need a 289/302 distributor let me know and will drop a good complete core in the mail to you.

My application would be for a 221. I saw a Pertronix distributor for sale and the ad sounded like it would fit both types of motor. That's why I asked. I don't really need one but thanks for the offer. I just thought I might upgrade from points.
