Are you talk'n about the Canadian engine oil recomendation label?...I see Jim Osborn reproduces them here.

Re: canadian sold camaro's
I've always been told there was two different ones. My memory is getting foggy, and I can't remember ( ) if the break was between 69 and 70, or 70 and 71. I do remember I had to get a different one to put on my 71 RS Z28!
Hope I did not confuse you too much more.................... Peter |
Re: canadian sold camaro's
I've seen 3 different label/designs,and their usually placed upside down.I actually flipped my picture to show it better.
1966-67 issued #733639~Osborn #DC0982 1968-69 issued #734791~Osborn #DC0414 1970-71 issued #3406985~Osborn #DC0972 Granted there is overlap,as this '70 Chevelle was wearing what some consider a "69" label. |
Re: canadian sold camaro's
I had one of those stickers placed upside down on my 70 SS 396 i had from 1984-97, car was built in Oshawa Canada and also had plastic inner fenders.

You might check with Don Lightfoot. He's been getting some more accurate decals made up. http://www.angelfire.com/rock/69ss/index.html

Re: canadian sold camaro's
Yes that is what i need. Thanks for the links. By upside down, do you mean readable from outside of car, and not readable from the engine compartment. Has anyone seen enough examples to be sure they were installed upside down? There was a 67 z at chicago show that had the sticker readable in the engine compartment. Roger

Roger, Sorry about my blurred memory. I just looked at some old photos and it is stuck on the upper plastic fender on the passenger side with the sticker reading normal not upside down (just over the heater hoses). Not sure though if the same set up was supplied for the camaro as mine was a chevelle. |
Re: canadian sold camaro's
I would not think there would be different stickers for different cars, just for engine oil. Did the canadian cars get these stickers because of the harsh cold winter? Roger
