All Aluminum HEMI V-8 Engine Complete
I know this is not the focus of this site but I thought some hotrodders may be interested in looking at this engine. I had never seen or heard of one of these until I came arcoss this one.
This is a vintage Toyota "4V" series all aluminum HEMI V8 engine. It is a carbureted pushrod engine built by Toyota from 73-76. I thought it was too cool not to share it here and the classifieds was really the only place to do it since it is currently listed on Ebay: Toyota V8 Hemi Engine Click Here As per the rules, the reserve is $1190. Thanks, Jason |

Re: All Aluminum HEMI V-8 Engine Complete
They were used in the Toyota Century from 73-76. The Century was the luxury model used in Japan and Australia. It is 3.4L which I believe is 215 CID. They were not super powerful stock at 170HP but many guys have put them in hot rods with blowers, multiple carbs, etc. and have gotten good power out of them. I believe it only weighs 250 pounds.

Looks about the right size for a 29 Ford.

Very Cool Charley. I saw one of these at the Copper State Classic 2 yrs ago and could not believe it was a Toyota!

Neat car Charley and very very special. If I remember right Toyota made one for every new car dealer in the US at the time. I think there were about 600 made. Lots of of Jag influence at the time.
