Neat find. I would buff out the paint and try to just touch it up.

I beg of you. Please don't change this car.
Please more pictures. Love the American Racing 'Spirit' wheels. |
Re: 71 Z/28 DayII Barn find
That is a Very period looking piece you got-I agree leave it in the "flavor" it's already In...This DAY2 thing is getting to be VERY desirable..especailly cars that were done up with older parts..That paint job style is SOO cool-Post more pics...

Very cool find! I agree with Darren, don't change a thing.
Also, I would not compound the paint. You need a good wash - clay - wash followed by a mild polish... Nothing aggressive! |

Cool ride. I saw it on e-bay this past weekend. The pic you posted makes the paint look good at least on this side , the trunk is all surface rusted & the hoods all flaking so it does need a touch up or just put a cool old style fresh paint on the car.

I like those rear fender flares. Hell, you could stand on them to wash the roof.
While it would be great to leave it "as is" the other option is to take detailed pics, and have it repainted that way. That's a very cool paint scheme. |
