Thank you everyone. For those who have done articles like this before you know how hard it is to get the facts correct. Author Jeff Smith was extremely professional and went out of his way to make sure it was right. I feel he really nailed the essence of what I'm doing both out at the shop and with the thread on Garage Journal. For those who would like to see the thread or catch up on it here's a link:

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=51567

It's up to 125 pages long, with close to 620,000 views so far and growing. My wife Chris and I are enjoying all the new friends it's brought us.

So Dennis, when are you guys coming to inspect the barn first hand and bring me Verne's outboard ?? Boating season is just around the corner you know.

Thomas

NICE!! But where did this wall of little fastener drawers go? They are too cool. Hope you saved them.

Hi Tracker and thanks. You're right that wall of old storage bins and drawers (full of vintage hardware BTW) was really cool and I hoped it would remain! Instead it went home with my buddy who's father owned the shop. Before I purchased the property I told the family to go through the entire shop and property and take whatever they wanted. Then I knew what remained was mine and I wouldn't have to worry about them coming back in 6 months wanting this or that. The entire project was a real win - win situation for the family and for myself.

Thomas
