Re: license plate restoration
Are they beat up or just need paint? I restored my tag and it looks o.k. I would tackle it yourself.

Re: license plate restoration
John, I've had Dennis Ricklefs in CA restore a couple of plates for me among other things. (pinstriping and flames) Let me know if you want, and I'll get you a contact.

Re: license plate restoration
I tried on my CA plates. I just couldnt get the correct gold color. So i sent them to the Tag Dr. They came back looking like someone in Folsom Prison just made them. Perfect.

Re: license plate restoration
-----I have a friend up here in the Port Huron area (Larry Leslie) that is heavy into all aspects of license plate lore. He has a guy in Ohio that does plate restoration that is unbelieveable. Badly mangled plates can even sometimes be saved. Only because I havent talked to him about putting out his #, PM me and Ill put you in touch with him. You absolutely wont be disappointed, as he is the best there is IMHO!!! He also has at different times many uncirculated Michigan plates. Sometimes dealer, and even some manufacturers plates......Bill S |
Re: license plate restoration
-----Talked to Larry yesterday and just lately he has developed two plate resto guys that he says have impeccable records, not just one.........Bill s
