Vintage Goodyear Application?
Hey Guys,
Can anyone help with the original application of this cool vintage Goodyear? It is a white lettered, F70-14. Shelby Mustang? Run of the mill replacement tire? Thanks, Dan http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4..._DSC0008-3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4..._DSC0009-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4..._DSC0010-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4..._DSC0011-1.jpg |
Re: Vintage Goodyear Application?
Dan,
In that top picture of the whole tire, is that a DOT number stamped into the sidewall near the tire bead? if so, how many digits (numbers and or letters) are there? That said, I don't ever recall seing a tire that looks like that, either OEM or aftermarket |
Re: Vintage Goodyear Application?
What does the other side look like? The reason I ask is because the reverse of the OEM G70-14 in my friends low mile Judge Conv looks darn near identical.

Re: Vintage Goodyear Application?
Would an F70 14 be for a 70 Camaro SS?

Re: Vintage Goodyear Application?
Is'nt that for a 69 or 70 ss chevelle. that is what i have on my build sheet for my car any way, for what it is worth. Geoff.

Re: Vintage Goodyear Application?
Is that realy white lettered or did someone just brush some white paint on the letters of a blackwall?

Re: Vintage Goodyear Application?
I'm with you Joe; looks like a home paint job to me.

Re: Vintage Goodyear Application?
That is very possible. Has the appeal of a vintage Goodyear Slick or road race tire but the design of a run of the mill passenger car tire...
