How many L34s sold out of Canada
 

Hi guys, I'm new to this Site. I wanted to ask you'll this question, as there seems to be some very knowledgable Camaro owners here. I've checked with quite a few experts but no one can answer this question, thought I might get lucky. Does anyone know how many L34s (396/350) were sold out of Canada in '69? It's my understanding that the only Camaro more "rare" than the L34 was the COPO or Yenko as only 2,040 L34s were made TOTAL . (I still don't know why they made more L34 than L78, but they did...) If such records don't exist, some good "educated guesses" are certainly welcome. I'm thinking if they sold 75-100 COPOs out of Canada (which is what I've gathered), and let's just say 200 L34s (again, that's just a wild guess on my part) I'd have to wonder how many of all those cars are still around with matching numbers like mine?? Thanks for the input guys.

If you haven't already and your car was originaly delivered to a Canadian Dealer, get ahold of GM Canada Vintage services to get a vehicle package for your Vin!.

When recorded and available, included in their info is RPO quantities by model of cars produced for sale in Canada...sometimes by engine RPO and/or body style, sometimes not..

Not exact but a good rule of thumb sometimes too is multiplying known Canadian RPO production by 10 to arrive at a good guestimate of US production by RPO..

Thanks Pete... Indeed I have gotten my Canadian docs from George. But he doesn't know how many L34s were sold out of Canada and didn't want to make a guess.

I'm trying to figure out how many L34 (396/350) were sold IN Canada. G.M. only
made 2,040 TOTAL. Now that being said, 6,067 Coupes were sold in Canada...that's
ALL V-8 Camaros. Mine was obviously a part of that group as it would include any and all L34s. Just want to know how many of the total 2040 L34s actually wound up in Canada for sale. thanks alot
