August Hot Rod magazine featuring "Ingenue" Buick

Hey guys...just wanted to let you know we are honored to be featured in the current issue of Hot Rod magazine with Ingenue.
Thank you again Dave Freiburger for your interest in not only the importance of the car but the story itself...you made a couple of old farts here in Nor Cal pretty proud...

Love the vibe of this issue. Was happy to see the feature too. Nothing like original hot rods!

Hey thanks guys (too funny Bruce),I like the vibe of Hot Rod and the direction it's been going in too, they are back to their roots and I love it!

To celebrate,I had some Ingenue t-shirts made up...I hope it's OK to mention it here.
If anyone is interested,I can be reached at [email protected]

I modeled them after the originals from the late 1960's...That's AA/GD drivers Billy Lynch on the left and Steve Malise on the right:

Frieburger fowarded me an email last night from a guy who was stationed @ Ft. Monmouth,NJ in 1967 & 1969 and was deployed in 'Nam in 1968...said he'd go to Englishtown every wknd they ran.
Wrote Dave to tell him he had seen the article and remembered the car well and attached an old slide he had dug up.I'm hoping more people with pictures will surface.

This picture looks to be 1969,Bruce Bohen in the cockpit being towed up to the starting line ready to let 'er rip...man she was purdy back in the day.

Here's another slide from that HRM reader...

...this one is dated May '67 @ Englishtown meaning this was Ingenue's maiden voyage down the quarter-mile.
With Coney Island Ralph Landolphi behind the wheel,Ingenue beat Doug Nash's Bronco Buster II injected 289-powered Bronco when they both broke.

These people are seeing a Buick funny car for the very first time...and they look stunned, lol:

Hey John, I read the story and loved it!! Very cool car. Have you had it to the March Meet or Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield recently??
