Battery Topper
 

I just got my new Battery Topper. Doesn't look half bad. At a casual glance, I think it will do fine.

One thing I noticed is that the "eye" on the fake Delco Eye cap is painted red. It should be a dark color as described by this High Performance Pontiac article.

It doesn't show a good close up of the cap, so I was wondering has anyone modified or colored their cap to look real?

Anybody have pictures of a real one for reference?

And, I just noticed on the decal that specifies the replacement number has a typo. The word "WITH" is spelled "W1TH"!

Anybody else notice that on theirs?

You're right,it's more of a mix between orange & red.

I took the Delco Eye from my old repop battery that lasted five years,cut the end off and installed it on the topper i bought.It does give it that correct look you are looking for.I decided to go this route due to the fact that the repop batteries don't last long for the amount of money you spend.
