what do you mean by "green tint"

Re: 1969-1970 Chevrolet AM FM Green Tint Radio
Lens & dial lettering has green tint/glow to it.
1971 + changed over to a blue tint/glow & lettering. |
Re: 1969-1970 Chevrolet AM FM Green Tint Radio
Wasn't the electrical plug in connector a different shape in 70 than it was in 69? I'm not 100% sure but I seem to recall that it was. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: 1969-1970 Chevrolet AM FM Green Tint Radio
That's true,'69 did use a 4 vertical spade connector.
'70 used a different reconfigured 5 horizontal spade connector. Matt, you might want to edit your auction to reflect this & avoid a disgruntled buyer with a '69. Beautiful looking '70 radio. 71 + actually used white lettering, not blue as I stated earlier. |

Thanks guys for the updates. Could this be used in a 1969 with the correct plug spliced into the harness?

Here is a great site to decipher radio models: xyz That radio was originally for a full sized 70 Chevy [/ QUOTE ] Yes it was originally out of a full size car according to the tag, however, this radio is 100% identical down to the last detail for a Chevelle, Nova, or Camaro. The only difference in these units was the ID tag. This has been discussed before here. -Matt |
