Re: BBC M/T valve covers polished up
Dang, now I want to polish up a pair of mine. Uhh, valve covers, that is.

Re: BBC M/T valve covers polished up
i used a DA with 150 grit to get down to raw aluminum, then went from 240 to 400 to 600 to 800
then buffed the living crap out of them with black emory, then threw some rouge on them. i can polish your covers for $50 a set. http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/6696/picture119h.jpg |

Shut up Sam, I am thinking about sending mine to him..........

Re: BBC M/T valve covers polished up
id do the fins with 400 grit, then dremel them with emory if you want them to be polished.
i dont like polishing the fins, they stand out more when sanded clean and raw,and actually take away from the polished body. |
