under hood closure panels
 

i've teamed up with a friend who owns Undercover Innovations in making closure panels for that custom look under your hood.The panels we make are easy to install and most require no irreversible alteration of your car. They are durable and also serve to combat overheating by re-directing the air that normally escapes over the top of the core support and sending it straight to the radiator.Our panels are the highest quality, the General Motors panels are even licensed by GM Restoration Parts®.
We use only aircraft quality aluminum that is anodized or polished to architectural grade. This finish will not fade and is resistant to fingerprints and water spotting.
The designs are engraved using a CNC milling table, so they can be customized to your specs.
We can add your name, car name, company or club logo to your panels.

This panel was originally plastic and installed on the big block a/c cars. GM knew that air was being re-introduced to the front of the radiator when these cars idled. At speed the pressure from air coming under the core support was working against the flow of air through the radiator, so this panel was designed.
The GM panel only goes as far as the core support. We wanted to force ALL of the air from the grille through the radiator, so ours goes all the way up to the backside of the spoiler (or to the valance). It has a divider at the core support to finish off the seal.

Jeff,

Very nice. Is the 1969 Chevelle radiator cover the same as the picture of the camaro, or is it something all together different? What are the parts made of, can they be purchased natural so I could have them powder coated to my liking? Is there another price if left natural?

im not going to say no about getting them natural, however, they come in 4x8 sheets already coated in the 4 finishes available. let me check on that one.
they are made out of 14 gauge aluminum.

70-81 camaro panels

There are 2 sizes of radiators so you will need to know if you have a "Standard" or "Heavy duty". The standard radiator hold-down panel measures almost 24" and the heavy duty measures just over 28".
The 70-73 Rally Sport had 2 extra support brackets above the hood latch.must specify if RS model.
