Rumor that Muscle Car Review magazine's DOA again
Saw this rumor posted on another web site. Does anyone have any first hand info as to whether that's true or not? Customer Service says its still publishing, but Source-Interlink's web site link directs you to CAR CRAFT's site now, and one of the subscription selling sites is showing the item as possibly discontinued. I've got a bad feeling..... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif

possibly bought out by Car Craft??

Re: Rumor that Muscle Car Review magazine's DOA ag
Nah... they're owned by the same company already. When Muscle Car Review returned after its last "hiatus", it came back as a newsstand special periodical with a small Car Craft logo (you know, like "Car Craft presents....MCR!) Internally, I suspect Car Craft is considered its closest relative.

Re: Rumor that Muscle Car Review magazine's DOA ag
that editorial stating why they were only going to run Mopar GM and Ford in the shootout lost them some subscribers,im sure.
on top of that, they run obvious clones in the shootout. very lame. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif |
Re: Rumor that Muscle Car Review magazine's DOA again
I certainly hope not as I think they are the best Musclecar mag out there. Maybe they don't have the real lengthy articles or incredible photos that the other two do, but their variety is top notch in my opinion. I did not renew my subscriptions to the other two simply because they highlight too many modern cars (post 1972) and some of the older cars they have done are not of interest to me or are simply just lame (at least for me).

Re: Rumor that Muscle Car Review magazine's DOA again
To borrow, rumors of our death have been greatly exaggerated. Muscle Car Review is alive and well. I just now (5:30 PM 12/2) spoke to MCR editor Drew Hardin, and all is well, we're profitable, healthy, and looking forward to a great year for 2010. The reasons the link sends you to Car Craft is that we've never had a website, not sure about the future possibility of one. But hey, we prefer working with great sites and the great people we find on yenko.net! I believe there are many exciting issues coming up for 2010, and we truly appreciate the support. Feel free to move MCR from the back of the magazine rack and to the front shelf, right on top of those ridiculous video game magazines. Any suggestions, fire away! Thanks, Arvid Svendsen [email protected] |

Glad to hear ! I'm currently in Columbia, SC and am in dire need of Muscle Car Review mag. Where can I get it down here? The local grocery stores don't have it.
