Original Oil Filler Cap Restoration
 

Talking about the one with the "S" on the rivet and the "SM" stamp on the top of the cap. Has anyone restored one of these? My application is for the '70 LT1. I need to rechrome one, but how is this done without taking the rivet out. Would also be interested in any sources for specific restoration of these caps.
