"Genuine Chevrolet Payments" Sticker

Has anyone seen this sticker before? It is on a cowl plenum air cleaner. It looks like there is another bowtie sticker under it but I do not want to take this one off.

Yes..I have on late 60's advertising materials.
It was referring to GMAC financing back then.
Like to see what's underneath..

I may try t find out what's underneith. I thought it may be some kind of contingency decal but I know Chevrolet was not supposed to be into racing by this point. Any pointers on removing old water decals?

Do you want to save it?..Depending on how long ago it was put on,I'll bet it's too brittle to come off as one piece. But try soaking it in HOT water overnight, then pick at it's edges with an X-acto knife in the AM.That may soften it up and make it pliable. It might flake off in small pieces and leave the other one underneath alone, but I doubt it.
If that doesn't work at all,try a mild chemical like Goo-Gone..if that doesn't work, step up to a stronger remover like Goof-Off..or OOPs!..but those two will probably smear it & remove the paint like a thinner.

You tickled my curiousity bone Rick. Since the decal on top did not seem too special I decided we should try to see what is underneith. I got crazy and just attacked it. 3M adhesive remover didn't touch it, WD-40 did nothing. Soaking in windex did not seem to soften it. Then onto laquer thinner. It smeared the top decal but softened it so could razor blade it off and hope to at least get an idea of what was underneith. What I found seems very strange. Stand by.
