help with dates of ignition wires 69 z28
 

i want to get a set of correct plug wires for my 69 z28, how do the dates work on them? its an early z with the build date in the end of feb 69. thanks!!

The dated wires come marked either 1st quarter or 3rd quarter of a calendar year; 1Q '69 would work fine for your car.

There are no 2nd or 4th quarter reproduction dated wires, as they were developed to accommodate the NCRS Corvette judging standard, which allows up to six months prior to the car's build date for dated components.

At one time you could get all 4 quarters as a reproduction. There were two different folks licensed to make the wires, battery cables, and wiring harnesses. One supplied 1Q and 3Q, the other 2Q and 4Q.

I had picked up a 4Q '69 set a quite while back.
