Ford Engine ID Help

I'm not very fluent in Ford engine ID's. Can anyone help ID what engine is in the '60 Starliner? It belongs to my next door neighbor, and he doubts it's the original engine.

Casting # (?) is C7AEA. I "think" the casting date was 5D12, as I forgot to write that down.

7828 5 (I think it's a 5) is stamped on the boss above the dip stick.

Where else should he look for an ID on this block? As you can see, he needs a dip stick.

Thanks for your help. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif
