Starter Date Question
Delco Starter 1108430 has a date code "C13 7"
Question there is no number before the "C13 7" does anyone know why no year ????? Thanks https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif |
Re: Starter Date Question
I read that as March 13th and the year ends in "7". Could be 1967 or 1977.

Re: Starter Date Question
It's wierd, I thought that the date code on a starter always read as "year, month, day"
Example http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...08367_8l14.jpg 68, 307 starter, Dec 14th I also have another 430 with the date code "0A20" which I read as Jan 20, 1970 Here is a May 30, 1970 but it has a 2 following I guess I'm somewhat confused????????? http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j.../209405914.jpg I cant get a photo of the other one but the code is as listed originally "C13 7" ??? Are there two variations to the dating??? |
Re: Starter Date Question
I'm not sure of it's date,but it's not uncommon.
The seperate number 1 or 2 afterwards stands for shift. Your two picture examples are actually L=November,(They skipped the letter I,cause it resembled a 1.) And the F=June, not May. |
Re: Starter Date Question
Rich,
What do you think of the "C13 7" ??? I thought the 430 was a 70 through 72 part number??????? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif |
Re: Starter Date Question
The year is either stamped there...veeeeeery lightly,or it was ommitted.
I've not seen a shift on these go as high as 7 though. |
