I went to Mantorp Park last Friday to get some action. I don´t go very often so it was nice to see the best European teams gathered for combat.

The current European pro stock champion, Jimmy Ålund from Sweden, was there. That´s him in the far lane.

Here is a pic of Mats Erikssons Crown Victoria pro mod. Mats who started racing in 1978, is the only European top fuel and funny car chassis builder. He runs ME Racing Service up north, up in Borlänge to be exact. Thanks to Murf McKinney in the USA, Mats and his son Lars-Göran can build chassis with the latest knowledge about safety and function. They are really top notch.
As of last year Mats was a member of the SFI committee for Pro Stock, and also for Top Fuel Dragsters. He was the only non American member.

This replica Funny Car was built last year by the owner of the original "Tre Kronor" FC imported in 1979. I can´t remember who he bought the original from right now.
US driver Harlan Thompson, who drove the original FC in the 80´s, made an exhibition run pleasing the crowd.

I guess the Alabama license plate is just there to give the extra touch of America to the team. Some guys sort of hide the Swedish plates under the bumper and put US plates up front.

The Camaro Club Sweden had some members at the race and they parked their cars by the CCS tent.
