Nice car! Nice ad. Is Goldenrod the same as Daytona Yellow?

Sam:

I'm glad you liked the ad. Sometimes I feel like nobody looks at them and it takes me a few days to do. In answer to your question, Goldenrod is the same color as Daytona.

that is an awesome car, it will make someone very happy. I LOVE maintained cars, rather have one any day over a "restored" car, the originals are just SO REAL! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif

I am not "up" on Pontiacs that much but I always thought that if it was a "Ram Air" it had all that stuff under the hood to channel the outside air through the (now opened up nostrils). I know they had two different hood scoops (or nostrils) the closed ones for the "regular" cars and the opened ones for the "Ram Air " cars, or so I thought ...

Can someone enlighten me in the ways of Pontiac?

Jim:

It's my understanding that the Ram Air pans and hood were not available on Firebirds until approximately March of 1969 (which would coincide with the introduction of the T/A). This Firebird was built at Lordstown in November of 1968. It is one of those well-maintained (loved) cars. It runs and drives beautifully and the trans shifts like new. Thanks for the interest, Ed

I don't know about the '69s, but our '68, which was an early calendar year Ram Air I car, had the breather pan, hood seal pan and open hood scoops. It was about six months old when I bought the car in May 1968, so I can't be sure of too much. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2321...01686729AVAuDB

Keith,

Is that a Camaro spoiler on the Firebird? Was it an option on FireChickens?

Great ad Ed. Great car too. Makes me wonder if I want a Pontiac too?
