1953 Allard trim tag, registration and plate
[b]About a year ago I had posted shots in the Rotting Musclecar thread,of a friends '53 Allard Palm Beach that was destroyed in a fire. The uninsured car was a total loss.
Allard Rotting Musclecar thread http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...hotos/p077.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...hotos/p092.jpg - He came across the items below - A cheap frame with the cover of a December 1952 Road & Track, with a similar Allard on it, the Delaware registration and corresponding plate and the original serial tag. He would like to get $250 for all. - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...ridge/2071.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...ridge/2062.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...ridge/2066.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...ridge/2068.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...ridge/2073.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...ridge/2050.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...ridge/2056.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...ridge/2074.jpg - I don't know if this is a deal, or not worth anything - I know that the old Delaware plates go for more then $100. I don't think the Allard recreation market is very strong - so I think the clone factor won't really effect the price! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/laugh.gif If no one is interested it will go on E-Bay. <font color="red">BE REAL - THIS IS BEING SOLD AS A MEMORABILIA ITEM ONLY!! </font> |

What happened to the chassis in the pics ?

Re: 1953 Allard trim tag, registration and plate
The car was in a barn that burned to the ground. Part of the structure fell on the remains of the car, and for some reason they cut the chassis into pieces with a sawzall to get it out.

Hi there - Incredible chassis pics ! I would be very interested in the memorabilia - I am currently working on the idea of an Allard book, this would be a fantastic feature !
Do you accept paypal? Thanks Scott |

Re: 1953 Allard trim tag, registration and plate
Hey Scott. Welcome aboard! I have a friend headed to a conference in Brussels next week ( ITEC is the conference name) and then on to Bruges for a couple days. We both have seen the movie "In Bruges" and loved it and the city it portrayed. Do you have some must-see sights in Bruges and any interesting/unique restaurants that you could suggest.
Thanks! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...e/InBruges.jpg |
