What on either the VIN or Cowl Tag IDs a 65 GTO as a GTO if anything?

Also any HI-Perf Calif Pont dealers selling warmed over Goats back in 65 time frame?

Well got to stop and look at the car and its to far gone for me to try to save. All panels would need to be replaced and I have been through that with my 68 RS and its something i dont want to do again. Price is to high for the shape as well $6,800. sellers ad says it has the org 389 drivetrain in the car still. Car is an automatic. Cars interior would need a complete redo as well and then the wheels have to be found to be correct too. I didnt call to ask about opening the hood or doors for picturs of the Cowl and VIN plates after seeing how rusted out it was

Real shame as this car is also a Heater Delete car and was sold new here in Hawaii. With Pont getting the AX by GM if it were restorable at a reasonable price it would be worth it since I would bet the Pontiacs will start to increase some in prices for the collectable cars,

there is NO code on the cowl tag for the balt GTO's built need to have a PHS to make sure its a Real one
