1970 Chevelle convertible – loaded w/ options
I'm selling my 70 Chevelle convertible. I've owned the car for 11 years, and purchased it in eastern Oregon from the family that bought it new. This is a super-dry part of the state, and the car has never been rusted. All original sheet metal with no patches and no bondo anywhere. This is not a 100-point show car, but a very nice driver, Runs well, but engine will need a rebuild soon as it burns oil. The car currently has Corvette rallys, not the Cragar mags shown in the pics.
Original numbers-matching engine, trans, and rear end. Full documentation including window sticker and build sheet. Whoever placed the order chose most of the options that you would see on an SS car, except for the big-block. You will have a hard time finding a more solid convertible, and one that is as loaded from the factory as this one. Here's a partial rundown of the options, and you can also see the pic of the original window sticker for more details: - factory bucket seats - factory console - factory tach and gauges - 300hp 350 engine - factory dual exhaust - factory 12-bolt positraction - power top Price is $24,900. Email [email protected] or call 360-608-0093 if you are interested. No trades. http://www.shapeconsulting.com/cars/70convfront1.jpg http://www.shapeconsulting.com/cars/70convrear1.jpg http://www.shapeconsulting.com/cars/70convengine2.jpg http://www.shapeconsulting.com/cars/70convinterior2.jpg http://www.shapeconsulting.com/cars/70convsticker.jpg |

Re: 1970 Chevelle convertible – loaded w/ options
Yes, why opt for all that other stuff and not disc brakes? Who knows? A one-of-a-kind ragtop waiting for a new garage...

Re: 1970 Chevelle convertible – loaded w/ options
You know what? I had no idea that you could order the SS dash under the option "Special Instrumentation" for $84. Ya learn somethind everyday! Great car and white interior in a convertible is a very wise choice.

Re: 1970 Chevelle convertible – loaded w/ options
I miss the days when nearly EVERYTHING was considered a seperate available option, and would be added as desired. That's when each car had it's own character.
Not like the mass produced bundled option groups they produce today. Nice car! |
Re: 1970 Chevelle convertible – loaded w/ options
$194.80 for an am/8track.That's a lot in 1970!Second only to the $200.65 for the turbo 400 trany.

Re: 1970 Chevelle convertible – loaded w/ options
Based on the Consumer Price Index, 194.80 in 1970 would be equal to 1,079.84 in Dec of 2008. That's a lot of $$$$$$$ for an 8 track.
That car would sell today for 23,681.00 |
