1970-1 EEC Gas Cap-NOS
A nice original rarely seen cap from the day for ALL 1970-1 Vehicles equipped with RPO NA-9 Evaporative Emission Control..aka Charcoal cannister..aka Calif. emissions.
Chevrolet recognizes this cap as #3984552 as ALL w/EEC during 1970-1.It was soon superseded by cap #3997480 in the years afterwards. A hard to find authentic special gas cap to find,as Taiwan reproduction companies don't do it justice and copied the last design released, not the first. Box is weathered but the cap and seal are fine. $100 Money back gaurantee if not as stated or satisfied. Free shipping to sYc star members. Pictures/part #'s/inquiries are best via email please.. Re: 1970-1 EEC Gas Cap-NOS
While on the NA-9 subject.......I'd like to read some comments on the rarity of finding the heat shield and 4 nipple cannister........and values $$$$$$$$
A member at nasty Z-28 is in the process of repopping the heat shield..... This was my 1st time hearing about special gas cap.......which quite frankly I think Carlisle judging has missed/overlooked |
Re: 1970-1 EEC Gas Cap-NOS
Chuck do you have an extra 4 line canister. I believe its the same part # as the ls-6

Re: 1970-1 EEC Gas Cap-NOS
which LS-6 application uses the 4 nipple charcoal cannister.
Did Calif sold LS-6's have a NA-9 similar to Z-28 NA-9 ??? I'm just accumulating parts....... |
Re: 1970-1 EEC Gas Cap-NOS
All 1970 solid lifter-(Holley carb.equipped),engined vehicles that were built with w/RPO NA-9-(Calif. emissions) used the same 4 nipple charcoal cannister..part#7028024.
Stant caps produced on odd days were stamped w/the "S" left to right,on even days,up & down..Some purists have been caught spinning the rivit to fit their cars actual assembly day. I couldn't resist. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif Gas cap is sold...Thank You Carl. |
Re: 1970-1 EEC Gas Cap-NOS
70 assembly manual shows three separate canisters
It shows the z and the ls-6 as the same part # I need one https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |
