Lesnar vs Couture

I think if Lesnar is able to get Couture down than he can use his power and wear Randy out. However, the longer it goes, the better the chance for Lesnar to slip up and get caught.
Opinions?

Finally, a fight with interest...the last few UFC PPV's haven't held our attention. I'm interested to see how far along in his development Lesnar is...he's freaky athletic for his size, and has a good wrestling background, but this ain't Randy's first rodeo...either has a puncher's chance, Randy has the experience, Lesnar the youth & sheer mass/athleticism...*if* I was a betting man, I'd say Lesnar by decision...

[Edit: just saw your locale, so I *assume* you'll be pulling for your alum, Brock!]

People forget Randy came from Greco. The guy is a genetic wonder, and an exceptionally intelligent fighter. He will put on yet another clinic of 44 year old humble guy takes loudmouth 20 year younger guy to school.

Classiest guy ever to grace the octagon IMO

Cool to see some UFC/MMA stuff on here.

I am hoping Couture takes it for us over-40 guys.

Did anyone see Urijah Faber get his clock cleaned last week? That was a shocker.

As much as I would like to see Lesnar win, I would bet that it will be just like his first fight... over-aggressive attack and a small slip up that will allow Couture to submit him out. Probably even in the first round.

Urijah What a shocker !! I never thought he would go down like that ! Did you SEE the elbow he was throwing at the time of the knock out ?? If he connected with that elbow: Lights out!

Urijah is a badazz, that's for sure.

He will be back, no question.

That guy who won (Brown I think) had some seriously heavy hands.

Did anyone see Rashad KO Liddell? That was brutal.

Time for Chuck to hang it up??

Yes and Yes...his last Tito fight was a joke, but prior to the Rampage fight I saw/read interviews that indicated Chuck was enjoying the night life a little too much, and sure enough it showed up against Rampage, and then Jardine...I'm not sure *WHAT* was wrong with Silva when Chuck defeated him, but the loss to Rashard was no surprise...we always chuckled at his post-fight "shout out" about which club the after party was being held at, but I'm not so sure he hasn't been focusing more on that lately than fighting...

Anyone else looking forward to the upcoming GSP v. BJ Penn fight... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif

Re: Lesnar vs Couture

yeah, Chuck collected his checks and should probally fade away (Tito Ortiz, are you listening?). kind of reminds me of Roy Jones Jr. probally the greatest fighter in his prime ever. now he has a still of his nose facing the opposite direction of his face. back on point...
Lesnar probally should stand and trade with Randy. Randy doesnt have knockout power anymore. let this fight get boring and then shoot with the power Lesnar has shown against Mir and Crazyhorse. anyone see that look on Crazyhorses face after he got blasted and saw 260lbs of pure evil charging him with a shoulder?? thats the intimidation Lesnar needs to give Randy.

Re: Lesnar vs Couture

Urjah looked much flatter in his conditioning than he did against Little Evil. Even thought the weigths were differnet BJ Penn dispatched with Jens with no problem at all yet Jens took Urjah 25 min down the road. I called the Brown fight . I had seen that guy fight before and thought faber looked a little smaller than usual and was concerned because he has been so consistent. Plus the WeC is a small pond. I felt Urjah should have made the Tyson Griffin fight happen . He beat enough guys that he should have wanted to beat the only guy who beat him and he never wanted that fight .Urjah was way too nonchelant in that fight with a guy like Brown. Sure he got caught but not sure the outcome would have been any different . Now we will see the real Urjah in the re match . Torres and Condit are the class of the WEC

Randy has not fought for a while . And Lesner is developing his MMA skills. I think brock is a good athelete so maybe he can make it happen but randy is a great athelete . Remember , Frank Mir , who has never been the same since his accident, just bided his time and submited Brock in his first UFC fight. Brock got 250K for that fight and UFC vet Mir got 45K plus a 40K bonus for the win. Lesnars bonus would have been another 200k had he won... i like randy's experience but if Brock has learned anything in the last six months or so he could make it happen .. this one is a toss up and I wouldn't be surprised by anything.. I kind of think Brock may win though, hope i am wrong

I loved Kimbo geting cooled by a three inch right cross that got dragged across his face by a guy who couldn't get out of the UFC " House' with out gettin beaten...
