Z/28 fuel line

I'm In the Process of restoring my 69 z/28. After 22years of owning it I decided to give it a clean up. My Question is the fuel line is original(3/8) and has black paint on it and slight scaling. What is the best way to clean it up? I feel it is best to leave the original one on the car. I replaced the Brake lines Years ago with stainless ones. Should I just replace it also? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif

Not sure about the black paint..sounds like someone did some spray can upgrade years ago....as for stainless fuel lines...I don't like them https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif they tend to leak...the OEM steel is a better choice IMHO

Re: Z/28 fuel line

Maybe use some laquer thinner on them and some of the "safest rust remover".
