'69 Camaro tag question
I know it was red with a white custom interior and a white vinyl top - but what does the 108 or 10B ??

Decode for body number: 113601
10B = Built the Second week of October. 69-12437 = Coupe. NOR = Built in Norwood Ohio. 729 = Custom Ivory Houndstooth Bucket Seats. 52-E = Lower Color is Garnet Red and the Vinyl Top Color is Parchment. My car is a 10A build with NOR121239...how is my car made the week before with a Higher body number???

1969 Body numbers were assigned when the order was accepted... so body numbers are a linear indicator of orders acceptance ONLY, Not Production dates... lowest/earliest to highest/latest.
Orders may have been accepted however the cars were not released to production until all necessary parts were in stock, thus a car with low production accessories, or a host of other reasons may be released for production later than a car which was ordered a week later, or even a month later. The 05E COPO on ebay right now has a body number close to the 04C Z a friend has... |
