In my opinion this is the ultimate Chevelle. Amazing performance, preservation, provenance and ultra-rare. I remember seeing it at a SCR in early 2000's IIRC. Rereading the article still blows me away...

Yes, agree it's one of the best Chevelles out there. I remember it from one of the SYCs many years ago.

And how close Dennis and Annie came to buying that car! If she had I would bet she would still own it and the 69 Yenko. They would have looked REALLY good together.

It's interesting that in the article that Steve posted elsewhere in here, that they refer to the dual carbed version of the 427 would be considered the 550 hp version, while it's noted as 500 hp here.
