This is an interesting car, for starters it was ordered with a heavy-duty frame. A few other oddities are a buick/olds two-piece drive shaft and a transmission mount with stud's verses bolts. Also, it had a mix of undercoating and surface rust to clean up.

Is this all dry ice treatment?
|
Yes dry ice removes scale/ surface rust. I'm amazed at each example Gary puts up on his forum. Just wow!
|
I didn't think it was that effective on that kind of rust. Interesting.

If that’s simply a cleanup without any paint work, it’s nothing short of incredible!

My understanding is a preservative is applied (not paint). In the after pictures it hasn't dried, so it look glossy. Once it dries it is dull and natural looking. The rust preventer wipes right off and doesn't need to be applied based on the owners preference. |
This is going to give a lot of guys hope in cleaning up their undercarriage (among other things) who were at a loss of what to do. Just amazing!

Curious what the cost of this would be

Steve, has it right. The wet look is part of our process and dries down after a few days. I will have more photos in a few days when it's dry. No paint was used in this clean up, and the dry ice blasting is only part of our process. i think some of the other companies doing dry ice blasting don't have the decades of restoration experience like we do.

Simply incredible and an absolute must for a survivor car. Great work and thank you for sharing.
