1968 nova L78
LOOKING FOR A FACTORY L78 1968 NOVA BORN WITH MOTOR CAR PROJECT REAL WITH DOCS EMAIL ME [email protected]
|
Re: 1968 nova L78
667 made....50 of those were the Gibb COPO'S...rare as gold plated chicken lips, as my friend Eric would say. I have never seen another documented, original driveline 68 L78 Nova...other than the Gibb cars. Have talked to a few folks who say they have them....but https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif Hope you find one. I would like to know if anyone else in the SYC has one...it is definately a small club.

Re: 1968 nova L78

Re: 1968 nova L78
There's one more Gibb/Harrell nova that was a Harrell tuned 396 that is out there. The motor is not with the car, but someday could be reunited.

I would love to see the build sheet https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif [/ QUOTE ] From my experience the 68 buildsheet will not show the BB engine code....not sure why https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif Small block engines were listed....we have a 68 buildsheet with L48 engine code..others may have different info. wilma |
Re: 1968 nova L78
That's the same thing I have found so far. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
|
Re: 1968 nova L78
I know I have talked with several 68 L78 nova owners that have their build sheet's and it doesn't have the L78 engine code on it. My car is missing the engine code, transmision code, and rear end code. But it does list all the options https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: 1968 nova L78
Thats my understanding as well. No L78 or L34 codes printed on the 68 Chevy II builds sheets.

Re: 1968 nova L78
Brent, finding a set of 14x6 XF wheels is nearly impossible because everyone threw them away. It took me 3 yrs of networking to finally find mine.
Try running a 'wanted' ad in Hemmings. Lot's of old school guys use that as their car Bible. Good Luck https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |
