2008 B.O.P. show in Scottsdale

My first year in attendance. There were tons of Bs, Os, and Ps there (couple of Ts & As too https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif ). Helped John H. take his W31 up (talk about tuff duty!). This SB sings nicely at the higher rpms https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif ! The W31 was in the Cutlass category which had stiff competition. John's W31 took first place. His 442 that his Dad bought new at Big Two in Mesa AZ took 2nd in the modified class. Temps were crossing into the 90's today, but there was a nice breeze to keep things cool. What a great showing of classic iron. I saw a number of never-seen-by-me-before beauties out there.

Sam, Was this show at Pavilions? it sure looks like it. That has got to be the most Pontiac metal i've ever seen, other than a new car dealer. Yes Bart - that is the Pavillions. I gotta take a slight deviation on this next car. John and I came up on it and noticed a poster in the window. '54 Buick with 3 on the tree, 219K miles and original owner. Well you get used to hearing folks banter around one owner/original owner. As I worked my way around to the back I noticed an elderly lady sitting in her lawn chair. I said to her, "So one owner, huh. Do you know the original owner? " She said, "I do." I said if you looked in a mirror would you see her". She said "Sure wood". What a sweet little old lady Mary is. She bought this brand new. Has all the paperwork including the window sticker and a photo of her when she brought the car home. I asked her what made her hold on to the car for 53 years. ------Boy Sam,,,If that 64 started life as a tri-power with AC and 4-speed it is a rare one. Jim M and I have talked about those a bit and he says they are RARE!!!! Did you happen to take any pics of the maroon 64 GP that was next to another car you shot in some of the first pics??? Im always trying to track 64 421 GPs and would love to know more........Bill S

Any 61, 62 or 63 tempests? I've only seen 2 62's in person, and my Mom's car is one of them. Trying to find a good parts source for the car but it seems to be nonexistent.

Really liked seeing that 77-1/2 Can Am. I had one in 87 and they still look great. Wish I still had mine.
