Two more Deuces found

The number of known Deuces has grown by two this week.

First I got a call from a guy who has owned a Citrus Green Deuce for 25 years. Painted White and raced most of its life.

This afternoon I heard from another owner who has a Gobi Beige Deuce.

Needless to say Marlin is excited.

Nope. I don't think John's was ever white. We'd heard about this one some time ago,3-4 years maybe. Never able to confirm it until now. We had thought perhaps it was the elusive Draggin Deuce, but it appears to not be.

I believe that is what he said it used to have. He has nothing in it now. He asked me to help him find one for it.

We are up to 88 Deuces found. I know there are two more out there that I've been chasing for years - once I talk to the owners we'll be up to 90!! It was a good week. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

Re: Two more Deuces found

I remember a forest green deuce from when I was in high school. I didn't know what it was at the time. I remember the stripes and sYc on the headrests, black interior. Unfortunately, the place was a salvage yard and the car was crushed. A friend of mine worked with the guy who bought the engine. It's now in a clapped out 74 Nova sitting in a field. I am trying to locate the guy with the engine now to see if he'd sell it.

YENKO DEUCE REGISTRY 03-18-2008 01:20 AM

Re: Two more Deuces found

Not sure what it was - as Deuces didn't normally get the sYc on the headrests. Was this the U-Pull it yard in Hazleton?

goinforbroke 03-18-2008 01:24 AM

Re: Two more Deuces found

It was at a junkyard near Johnstown. I specifically remember the headrests, and later, the guy who has the engine told me all about the LT1. I think he gave like $300 for the engine.

[/ QUOTE ] https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif Are you sure this was a small block LT-1 powered Deuce and not a 69 427 powered sYc Nova? You sure it was the dark Forest Green of '70 and not bright Ralley Green of '69? There is a rumor of a '69 RG sYc car to have been roaming the streets of Johnstown in the early 70s.
