The Musclecar Reunion has invited the sYc to take part in their upcoming event, May 31, June 1, 2008 in St.Louis. They are looking for a few supercars to participate in their “Legends of Speed” display. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required, so if interested, please let me know. The FAST guys will be doing their thing again, Rusty (Smallhurst) I believe is in charge of that. Fast race

Last Fall at their inaugural event in KC, I showed the BT Nova and the DH funnycar, while Rob participated in the Fast race with the Yellow Sub. We had a blast. Everything from front engine dragsters, to funnycars, Gassers, Nostalgia SuperStockers, you name it, was making a pass(s). Under the big tent were Big Daddy with one of his cars, Mrs Ronnie Sox and Buddy Martin with a couple Sox-Martin cars, a pair of Wally Booth AMC Pro-stockers.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for posting about this. The Hotel rooms are starting to fill up, but camping is available on the track site. No tents!!!

Plans are to have the "Yellow submarine" there, and who knows, maybe Red Alert.

Anyone who is attending and wanting to stay at the Holiday Inn need to get their reservations, as the special rate will end the first of May.

Also, pre-registration is required for anyone wanting to park/get teched on Friday.

Any SYC members going to this event, May 31st and June 1st? Sounds like a really fun time and lots of old funny cars, rails, super stockers etc.....Hey Tom C. how about ol "RED ALERT" ????? Do you need a passenger - to help balance out the weight?!?! I can't wait......LET THE FUN BEGIN !!!!

Hi guys!

I just spoke with the organizer of the race and he was asking when you guys were going to get off your duff and get registered??? He said that so far that only 3 have paid their registration for FAST racing. Also, this may be the most important thing for getting registered early, you get to park the rigs inside the pits and get your car teched on Friday night!!!! The number of people that have registered is disturbing me because of the number of people I whave talked with saying they have registered. If you have registered, please contact me via PM. I want to make sure that everyone is accounted for and that we are all registered for FAST racing. Thanks in advance and I we have some good numbers. They were saying that the reponse for this event in all catagories is HUGE!!!!

The event is this weekend. It ought to be a lot of fun, as I know several members are planning on attending, some with cars, some without.

I have been talking to the promoter and the event is really starting to come together. Judging by the number of cars pre-registered they are expecting over 400 cars.

Some of the stars will be the one and only Big Daddy, Buddy Martin and Mrs. Ronnie (Diane) Sox, and of course our own Helen Gibb and crew.

The sYc will be well represented in the "Legends of Speed" area with Helen's Gibb Nova, Howie's Gibb Camaro, Red Alert and the Yellow sub, Mo hopes to have his Poncho wagon there, plus ?
