Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
Who's everyone's favorite supplier for reproduction wiring harnesses?
I'm not interested in any of the "universal" kits that you have to fit and install the terminals on yourself, I'm looking for an exact fit "plug it in and go" OE style harness. As always, much obliged. Eric |
Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
I have had very good luck Lectric Liminted www.lectriclimited.com . For the most part (for me) they are a plug and go harness. Most everyone else would use them right out of the box. Some things I do change over to OEM plugs as the aftermarkets are not correct. I have never had any issues with them whatsoever.
On the engine harness, I clean off the black electric grease from the terminals as this has sometimes caused connection issues. Easy to fix while doing a restoration but a real pain after the car is done. |

Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
I had used( M&H Electric Fabricators )--everything matched exactly to the original harnesses...They're in California---I don't know if they're still around......

Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
I basically had it narrowed down to either `lectric or M&H already, looks like `lectic gets the nod.
Many thanks. Eric |
Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
I've used M&H, they're good!!
|
Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
I also used M+H! The wiring harness matched my original perfect!

Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
M&H was used in both my cars, just plug them in, just like factory.

Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
I've replaced the wire harnesses on all my cars with American Auto Wire (Factory Fit) and have never had a problem with any of them. They are exact reproductions of the originals. Thats whats going in my current 69 ElCamino project as well.

Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
Ive used both AAW and M&H. Zero complaints with either.

Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
When I worked for Car Craft we used M&H almost exclusively so I have little experience with other vendors. M&H has excellent quality and they will build any modifications you want into the harness to make it appear as factory as possible (i.e. HEI, internal reg alternator, etc).

Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
One of the guys that runs M&H is a good friend. If you go that way let me know if you need anything special. I have used their products for years with no problems.

Factory Fit gets my vote.

Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
I've used M&H and Lectric Limited. Both companies make great products. Plug and go.

Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
------I have been told that M+H and Lectric Limited buy and supply each other. I know Kenny H at L/L and he is commited to doing things as correctly as possible. That he buys and sells to M+H just tells me that he feels they are equally as good. I have asked M+H to make me up several oddball Pontiac harnesses over the years and they have always bent over backwards to accomodate my wishes. Big thumbs up to both of these vendors!!!!!!!!........Bill S

Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
Placed my order at Lectic Limited last week, dash harness should be here in a few weeks, wasn't in stock and had to be built.

Re: Reproduction wiring harnesses...who to use?
That's who I used for the 72 T/A engine harnesses. Good stuff.
