Re: ZL-1 motor build
Hey Al!
Fantastic! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif Keep the images and posts coming. I for one will be following this very closely. Of particular interest to me will be the internals to this build and how well it runs. What are your plane for octane level, compression, etc..... Nuch |

Re: ZL-1 motor build
Al,
This is always an interesting BBC subject. I believe the reason that the '7115 crankshaft was used in the L-88 and ZL-1 applications was due mainly to the towering dome heights of the pistons and the reciprocating forces that ensued. I've never gotten a definitive answer on that issue. Anyway know? Nuch |

Re: ZL-1 motor build

That ZL-1 is beautiful. Putting it on the rug was a nice touch. |
Re: ZL-1 motor build
I don't know if you've purchased your solid roller camshaft yet, but if you havent, you should really consider the Comp Cams 288 Street Roller. It's a great camshaft that I (and many others) have used with great success. Easy on the valvetrain and great power. I put many reliable miles and 1/4 mile passes on mine with never a problem. Very popular and with good reason.
