Re: 1969 SS nova
By the time you find/pay for NOS pieces, you could have the Gardener system on. It's made in USA. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif

Re: 1969 SS nova
Yes, Gardner is made in USA. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif Hopefully they will re-vamp their tailpipes!!! Could not live with them. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Re: 1969 SS nova
I have the original exhaust from my 68 nova ss 396 car.but I am guessing the small block may differ from the big block pipes.
My 396/350 hp nova is one 234 produced/and 1 of 48 turbo 400 cars.I purchased the nova from Wayne bushey of NNN in 2000;and completely restored the car.Chris Teed |
Re: 1969 SS nova
The factory setup had the rh tail pipe welded to the muffler so it was really 1 piece and the lh side tail pipe slid in and was clamped...But i believe over the counter n.o.s stuff was all seperate pieces.. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Re: 1969 SS nova
Here are a few pictures of a 70 Yenko Deuce survivor system on Tommy K's car. I really like the spot welded alignment tab on the tailpipe. The cut outs on the muffler would be easy to reproduce...BKH

Re: 1969 SS nova
Cut outs make for a real good tailpipe alignment. Thanks!

Re: 1969 SS nova
I have an NOS tailpipe at the shop Sammy, not sure which side, it's for a '70+ with the angled cut, but we can cut it square for ya - if you can use it yours for a can Mountain Dew! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif
I was over TommyK's yesterday, and he also has an NOS tailpipe for sale - not sure which side. Give him a call. Wait till these guys see your ride, they won't be making any more 'big block' suggestions! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif |

Re: 1969 SS nova
NOPE! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif I ain't going to be like that guy in Pa. somewhere that puts slicks and SS Formula one tires on his camaro. I think he lives up in the mountains somewhere! Junked it up with that Day-2 stuff in my opinion.
