PCV clip

Anyone know if 68 and 69 Z28s had a small clip coming off the carb stud to hold the PCV hose? I have seen them on big block cars and some 302 cars. Were they original ?

Has anybody ever seen one of these PCV clips at all?

I believe the later 69 Z's had them. I have to correct that. I don't believe the 69 Z's got a PCV valve clip. I do think they got a rear carb fuel line clip later on in the year. Sam

I don't know if the 68's did,but i do know that the 69's didn't have a pcv bracket. The bracket the 69's had was for the rear fuel line coming off the Y-block.

[/ QUOTE ]Go over to the Camaro Research Group (CRG) they would know for sure. Steve Shauger (paceme) would also be real good to talk to. Sam

I did look in the AIM for 69 Nova and Camaro, the clip is shown in the L78 option section it the back.
I do not see it under any Z28 or L48 sections. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: PCV clip

Mike,

I have a original 69 Z/28 and mine doesn't have one.Again, seems that the L-78 cars did get them and the 302's did not.I do have a fuel line bracket at the rear of the carb, after the Y-block.

Re: PCV clip

The BB, Q-jet cars gets the fuel filter bracket with the return line in it, but I don't think the sb,Q-jet cars get that. Maybe it is a vibration thing for GM? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: PCV clip

My original 02D '69 Z/28 doesn't have the PCV hose clip either - it was only called out in the A.I.M. for the L-78. Also doesn't have the fuel line support bracket - although the ECR date in the A.I.M. shows as 10/31/68, I believe Jerry said it didn't show up in production until much later in 1969.
