Re: Lookin for BIG block nova

I would entertain selling my 1969 Nova since the wife wants something else. It isn't an original big block but it does have a 402 with 4 speed. I bought it to have fun with and it does run well. It needs some body work and paint. I'd let it go for what I have into it. PM me if interested.

Re: Lookin for BIG block nova

I've got your car if you want a damm nice 1969 SS350.... you don't need to look any further

do you want it as a full numbers match SS350 auto??

or set up as the fastest stock appearing small block Chevy in the world.. or how about the fastest stock appearing small block Nova in the world?? find a faster or more trick one, and i'll give you $1000 cash on the spot, it doesn't exist except for this car.

I have the complete original engine and trans., and a super trick stock appearing 15.95-1 comp. 392" LT1, 2 sets of ported stock exhaust manifolds, NASCAR quality casting number match heads, stock sounding solid roller cam and stainless roller rockers, Wilson manifolds reworked stock LT1 intake, Pro Systems 780 Holley, trick 2.5" X-pipe exhaust, 4.56 gears in original rear, Continental nitrous convertor, hidden shift light, hidden MSD Digital 7 programmable ignition, hidden fuel pump, column shift forward pattern manual valve body original T350 can be converted back to full auto with just a simple valve body change... the list goes on, and on, and on, and on... looks absolutely 100% showroom stock. Ran 11.83 on redlines at 119.60 or 11.67 at 119.20 on DOT drag radials, shift at 7100, goes thru at 7400, the sound thru the x-pipe and full length stainless Magnaflow exhaust at 7400 rpm has to be heard to be appreciated, it's pure music.. Fresh engine combo should run 11.30-11.40's. My engine guy works for Wilson Manifolds, in charge of NASCAR castings...

pick your package, your choice, the one and only Mighty Mouse is seriously available

dog dish w/ new redlines?? 5 spoke SS wheels with new T/A's?? Torque Thrusts with M/T DOT radials, it's ALL included

brand new coated shorty headers, never installed

absolute MINT body, trim, and chrome, really excellent paint, this is a VERY trick, excellent condition car, showing 29,*** original miles, and I believe it.

mint green metallic, medium green perfect interior, black vinyl top, rubber mat, very sharp car

this is NO Mickey Mouse car, it's for the SERIOUS Nova enthusiast that wants the best.

the hidden and trick stuff will ONLY be disclosed to the buyer upon received deposit

It can be bought turn key 100% stock, turn key stock appearing screamer, or race engine out/apart as it is now and do as you want. Original engine is complete and ready to install and run at any time. I have the original 3.07 gears, and another 4.10 gear set.

I might be wrong but it may depend on the year... My brother's old '72 Nova SS had a Saganaw 4 spd, not a Muncie.

The way this black car is equipped would it have a 10-bolt or a 12-bolt rear end?

Unless a 12 bolt was ordered, it would be a 10 bolt.

I saw this car at my friends two days ago,and to answer a few questions:
It's a factory 10 bolt non posi.
It's a factory Saginaw 4 spd.
It's a 250HP 350cid.
He's removing the dealer added Frigi-King A/C unit and would like to sell it to anyone interested. He said he'd sell the car too,but I'll let any serious buyer talk to him about that.It really is a nice car.

A guy up in Encinitas has a '69 L78 with 52k miles, with less than 2k on the rebuild. It's black, black bench, auto on the column, Protect-O-Plate, matching #s on the block, not sure about the trans #s, & the diff has 3.73s instead of 3.55s. I saw the car last week, & it is a nice car, not show by any means, but a nice #3 car. He said he wants 37k for it. His name is Danny & his number is 619-980-8271.

1=EXCELLENT: Restored to current maximum professional standards of quality in every area, or perfect original with components operating and appearing as new. a 95-plus point show car that is not driven.

2=FINE: Well-restored or a combination of superior restoration and excellent original. Also, an extremely well-maintained original showing very minimal wear.

3=VERY GOOD: Completely operable original or "older restoration" showing wear. Also, a good amateur restoration, all presentable and serviceable inside and out. Plus, combinations of well-done restoration and good operable components or a partially restored car with all parts necessary to complete and / or valuable NOS parts.

4=GOOD: A drivable vehicle needing no or only minor work to be functional. Also, a deteriorated restoration or a very poor amateur restoration. All components may need restoration to be "excellent," but the car is mostly useable "as is."

5=RESTORABLE: Needs complete restoration of body, chassis and interior. May or may not be running, but isn't weathered, wrecked or stripped to the point of being useful only for parts

6=PARTS CAR: May or may not be running, but is weathered, wrecked and or stripped to the point of being useful primarily for parts.

Also, I said it is a black bench car, which is a mistake. It is a black bucket car with column shift T-400. Sorry

Re: Lookin for BIG block nova

Bob,

I'm not aware of a 'one-stop-shop' for vin searches, as each state sets their own rules for this process. It's an arduous task, which is why so few people pursue this avenue.

As for the car in your craigslist link, other than being a trainwreck of a resto I didn't see anything that instantly popped out as being a non-L78 car.
